About
Born on 1 October 1953 in Tulamba, near Mian Channu in the Punjab. He completed his schooling in Lahore and had begun studying medicine at King Edward Medical College before turning to religious study.
He studied the Quran, hadith, fiqh, logic and tasawwuf at Jamia Arabia in Raiwind, Lahore, where his teachers included Mufti Yusuf Ludhianvi. He is associated with the Tablighi Jamaat and is among the most widely heard Urdu preachers of his generation, with a large following through television and online lectures.
